Christmas Markets ft. Joel Grainger

Near where I live is the city Bath and at Christmas they have the markets and they are filled with such beautiful things. Unfortunately I didn't take my big camera to Bath so i had to take some snaps on my iPhone instead also there was so many people shopping in Bath it was almost impossible to get a picture without a random person in it.

Whilst in Bath I heard music and the closer I got the more I fell in love with it. His name is Joel Grainger and he is a violinist. Its usually not the music I listen to but oh my goodness he was amazing. I love finding new artists that I've never before heard.

I think the video above is Cry Me a River, but I can't be sure.
Check out his Youtube Channel : Joel Grainger

Let me know what you think, I think he is incredible.

Festive Films

Sitting by the fire, sipping on a hot chocolate, watching a Christmas film....now that sounds like my kind of night.
I don't know about you but watching Christmas films is the ultimate way to relax in the Christmas season.
Here are a few of my favourite ones...Love Actually is my ultimate fave but unfortunately I don't own it on DVD.
Elf
Jack Frost
The Polar Express
The 12 Dogs of Christmas
The 12 Dogs of Christmas 2
All of these are family films you can sit and watch, great for children and adults. Love Actually is more for the teenagers and older film lovers rather than the younger ones however is still a great film.
The Polar Express at first really didn't take my fancy but I re-watched it and made it onto my favourite Christmas films.
What's your favourite festive film?

Christmas Tag

Today's post was meant to be a recipe however school got in the way therefore here is a bunch of Christmassy question I shall answer.. Soz to be boring:)

1. What is your favourite Christmas film?
Love Actually or Elf

2. Have you ever had a white Christmas?
As it's the UK we usually get delayed snow, so it's a white January/February, but I think I may have had a white christmas a few years back.

3. Where do you usually spend Christmas?
Usually spend the morning at my house with my family and then at around lunch time go up to my nan's house until late.

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
I quite like I wish it could be Christ'as Every Day however I don't really have a favourite. This year I've properly been listening to the good ol' BublĂ©.

5. Do you open any gifts on Christmas Eve?
No, never have done.

6. Is your tree real or fake?
Our tree isn't actually up yet but it's fake. Real ones make too much mess.

7. Are you a pro wrapper or do you fail miserably?
I like to think I'm a good wrapper, I try and make all gifts look nice but I end up getting bored. I will be posting a wrapping post in a few weeks so you can see.

8. Do you make New Years resolutions?
Yes I do however if you ask me if I stick to them I would say no. I don't think I've completed one of my New Years resolutions from the start of the year but I'm gonna try my best to do them in 2015!

9. When do you think it's acceptable to put up decorations and write christmas cards?
Personally any time after a week into December is perfectly acceptable to put up decorations and the tree however christmas cards, it needs to be a bit longer. Admittedly last year I had my cards written in November but this year as of yet I still need to get them, giving them out I think at least a week before christmas give or take a few days.

10. When did you start listening to Christmas music?
November possibly end of October. I'm really into the festive tunes.

This wasn't the most interesting post but I was going to do it anyway I just had to rearrange when and that happened to be today as I don't have my camera with me until tomorrow either. Tomorrow shall be a recipe hopefully.
Let me know what your faves christmas song is:)

Gift Guide for Men

I don't know about you but I find buying gifts for men an absolute nightmare. Whether it be for a dad, brother, boyfriend, best friend, cousin..anyone in your life who is of the male species (if you will).

Usually when you ask a man what they want for Christmas the general reply will be 'I dunno.'  Unless your buying for someone who knows exactly what they want.

I've started my Christmas shopping and so I've decided to share with you some of the things that might give you some ideas as to what to get your loved ones this Christmas.
David Beckham Classic Aftershave

Wash Kit

Lynx - Peace

Chilli Chocolate Pizza

Desktop Ping Pong
Fragrance is a must, I mean they might think you're trying to tell them something but trust me it is definitely a good gift. The one I've chosen is the David Beckham Classic, I smelt a few different but this one smells the best and if a girl likes them smell of it then they should be fine haha. Again for someone who likes to travel, a wash set with travel size products is perfect and the bag will be useful for travelling.
Lynx, more fragrance I know but you can't really go wrong with it can you?
Maybe for someone with a bit of humour this next one fits great. My brother always says how he eats the hottest chillies and stuff so this will be great for him but on the milder side how about a chilli chocolate pizza to tickle their taste buds.
And finally to bring out the inner child if you're giving to an adult, a desktop ping pong set, not going to lie if I received this I would be so happy. I love table tennis so this would be great.

I hope this helped give you a few ideas, happy shopping,

December Is Here

I know, it's been a ridiculous amount of time since I've last blogged. But I've decided I'm going to blog everyday until christmas. Kinda like blogmas, if that's a thing.

I'll be posting a recipe at some point this week and I'll post about christmas decorations once I've got round to putting them up. Christmas outfits and maybe some hair and makeup ideas; we'll see. I might throw in a gift guide as well.

Christmas is my favourite time of the year, it's so festive and so family orientated.

I'll be off for now but the first post will be up tomorrow,

Midnight Kiss & He Loves Me Perfume Review

Recently I went shopping and I popped into a Primark, I wasn't looking for anything in particular but I came across these perfumes which I hadn't seen before. I smelt the samples and I liked the scent but I couldn't choose between the two so I got both. I mean they were only £2 each.
They are called Midnight Kiss and He Loves Me.
Midnight Kiss is a sweet scent, it's quite strong when you first put it on but it does tone down once worn for a while but lasts a long time on the skin. It's almost reminds me of the Briney Spears Midnight  Fantasy Perfume. There are also other scents in this perfume which I can't quite put my finger on.
He Loves Me is more of a fresh scent. It has scents of daisy and Lilly which are floral scents but then has scents of green apples and pears. It's quite a fresh scent and reminds of the DKNY Delicious Perfume.

I love roll on perfumes because they are easy to throw in your bag and you can top up your scent anytime you need to.
What's your favourite scent?

Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Product Review

Spots. Pesky things they are. Throughout my teenage years, especially the early years, I suffered with acne pretty bad. I tried so many different scrubs, remedies, creams. I even went to the doctors about it. The doctors gave me something and it helped for a good 2 years but know I think my skin has just grown to it and is no longer taking effect. I've tried Clearisal, Clean and Clear, I've just tried using Freederm and again that has stopped working.
I went to Boots yesterday and I was in search for a new skin product that will have an effect. I asked at the counter and they recommended Tea Tree & Witch Hazel. I'd never heard of the brand before but I believe it's a Boots brand. At the moment it's 3 for 2 on all skin care products in Boots. These are the items I opted to try out.

This is the Spot Wand. It's a double ended wand, one end being the day time treatment and the other being night time. You apply it to the area needed and it just does it's thing. It reduces the size of the spot and takes down the redness slightly. If you keep it up, you can see quick results. I apply it a few times a day. It's portable therefore you can chuck it in ya bag and be off.

The next product is the Blemish Stick. It's similar to the Spot Wand but it's more greasy. However it does seem to soak into your skin and doesn't leave your skin greasy at all which is a plus. It's good for oily skin which is good for me as I have very oily skin. I've found this has shown results already, again if I'm not using the Spot Wand I will use this, applying it a few times a day, applying it to the area I need it most.

The final product is the Exfoliating Face Scrub. I use this morning and night, and it makes your skin feel so clean. Who doesn't love a fresh feeling face? After I've used this I will use either of the products above. Again I've seen improvements on my face already.

I highly recommend these products as I haven't been using them that long and they show quick results . It's all at an affordable price and they have an array of products.

Show your skin some love.

Sunday Of Sun

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. The sky was completely cloudless, people were out of their houses, walking places instead of driving. Originally I was just going to go out in the garden, but my friend rang me and asked if I wanted to go on a bike ride. I haven't been on a bike in almost a year maybe more so I was a bit worried of falling off but I managed.
We weren't intending on riding 12 miles but we did. On the way it took us just under an hour to ride 6 miles and around an hour and 15 minutes for the 6miles back.
I have to say it was great to get out and enjoy the country side. It's. Its not often we get sun like that. Embrace it while it's here haha:)

Hope you enjoy the spring sun, hopefully it lasts:)

Winter Essentials

As winter goes by, you will realise that there are some essentials needed to help your skin survive the cold winter weather. These are just a few of my winter beauty essentials.

Ginger Sparkle Body Butter (Body Shop)
Pink Grapefruit Body Butter (Body Shop)
Garnier Intensive 7 Days Body Lotion
In the winter your skin tends to get dryer. So you need to keep your skin healthy and hydrated. I find the the body butter form The Body Shop is great for keeping your skin hydrated and isn't one of those body butters that make you stand around waiting for it to soak in. It soaks into your skin fast and makes your skin extremely soft. The Garnier body lotion is another one that soaks into your skin fast and leaves your skin feeling moisturised and nourished for 7 days..just like it says on the bottle, except I like to moisturise each time I shower which is every day.
Vaseline Essential Moisture Hand Cream
Vaseline Healthy Hands and Stronger Nails
Ginger Sparkle Hand Cream (The Body Shop)
I don't know about you but my hands get extremely dry during the colder weather. I feel as if I am constantly putting ion hand cream. The Vaseline hand cream leaves your hands feeling soft and hydrated, which means I don't need to keep applying it every 10 minutes. The Body Shop hand cream, not only has an incredible scent of ginger, but also leaves your hands feeling nourished and hydrated.
Nivea Pearl Shine
Nivea Essential Care
Baby Lips Intense Care
Soft, hydrated and plump lips are the best lips. I find that the cold weather makes my lips chapped and dry, which I hate and probably mostly everyone else out there too. I apply lip balm at least 7 times a day including before I go to bed. I like for my lips to feel soft and not dry. Babylips do a fantastic job of keeping your lips hydrated and healthy. As do Nivea. I have tried out so many lip balms over the years and I always seem to forget about them and buy new ones. It's ridiculous. But I've narrowed it down to using these three.

So I hope this gives you and idea of what I find essential for winter to keep my skin hydrated. I would also recommend making yourself the best cup of tea ever, in order to keep your insides warm. I like my tea milky with 2 sugars:) Make sure to wrap up warm when going out: woolly hat, gloves, scarf and a coat to keep all the warm in your body.
Hope the winter days have been good to your skin,

Perfume | Reviews

Perfume is something that can say a lot about a person. It can tell someone what kind of mood you're in, or if you like a certain scent. I have quite a few perfumes laying around my bedroom so I thought I would give a review on each of them to tell you a bit about them from my experience using them. Excuse my description about scents, I haven't quite got the art of doing that yet:)
Rihanna-Nude
I got this perfume for Christmas 2013, and I'm really enjoying it. It is quite a warm scent, very feminine however it isn't too overpowering. It is a soft, floral kind of scent with big hints of vanilla but it isn't too sweet and is great to wear all year round.
Lady Gaga-Fame
Lady Gaga Fame is one I've had for about a year now and it is one of my favourites. It is a sort of floral, fruity scent. With honey, saffron and apricot notes. It is a black liquid which makes the perfume unique, the packaging is quite dramatic also, with the gold lid and glass bottles in which you can see the black liquid. It does spray out black on your skin if you spray quite close to your skin but it dries completely clear. Definitely recommended.
 DKNY Be Delicious
This fragrance is an everyday, fresh scent. It is a very light perfume and isn't too overwhelming. The scent lasts a long time on your skin, so you don't need to top up throughout the day. It is a very slightly florally scent but you can definitely smell the apples.
From left: Diamonds-Next, Enchanted-Accessorize, Curious-Britney Spears, Very Red-Next
So in this picture, are a collection of perfumes I've had for a long while but don't use as much as some of the others. Starting from the left, the first one is Diamonds by Next. This is a subtle scent and smells slightly like Soap&Glory products. Its not too heavy and isn't too overwhelming.
Next is Enchanted by Accessorize. This quite a sweet scent and is great for young women and teens. It's a perfect fragrance for Spring and Summer. Its not too heavy and has slight floral notes along with some fruity ones.
Curious by Britney Spears is next in line. I would say this is quite a lively scent, bright, fruity and floral. There are hints of fresh flowers such as jasmine, tuberose. You can also detect a slight scent of vanilla and musk.
Last in my collection is Very Red by Next. I believe they have discontinued this perfume, either that of they've made it very hard to find. I have the roll on version and once it has ran out I'm going to try and find a bottle version as it really is one of my favourite scents. It is a warm, fruity fragrance with hints of red fruit blossoms, jasmine, rose petals. It is a long lasting scent so it will take quite a while to use up. All I ever wan to do when I'm wearing it, is smell my wrists because it smells so good! Definitely would recommend this to anyone.

I hope this has given you a bit of information and my opinions have been useful. Let me know what your favourite fragrances are..

Lush

If you live in the UK(I do not think the US have it), you would of heard of a store named Lush. A store in which you can purchase bath ballistics(aka bath bombs), bubble bars, shower gel, hand creams etc... For Christmas I received a Lush Gift Box and decided to share with you what was inside.
This is what the box looks like, it is extremely glittery, which means glitter gets everywhere! It's red, gold and green glitter with a gold polka dot ribbon on top.

As you can read on the label, five products came within this gift box. However I did not think to do this blog post before I used the Father Christmas Bath Ballistic. I can describe it for you the best I can though. First when you drop it into the bath it fizzes a slight pink colour, then it will turn slightly green and before you know it your bath is almost a neon green. I also have used part of the bubble bar, but not enough that I couldn't take a picture for you so I do have a picture of that.
From left: Lord of Misrules(bath ballistic), Cinders(bath ballistic), Christmas Eve(bath ballistic) and Golden Wonder(bath ballistic)
Lord of Misrules (bath ballistic)
Cinders (bath ballistic)
Christmas Eve (bubble bar)
The Christmas Eve bubble bar is one that I can describe for you as I have used some already, unlike the two bath ballistics above as I haven't before used them. A bubble bar if you aren't sure, is a bar which you crumble under running water. You can get multiple uses out of these which makes it a definite run for your money! As you crumble it under the water, bubbles will appear and give of a wonderful scent, slightly florally (I'm rubbish at describing scents). Once you get out the bath and dry yourself off, you will be able to notice how soft your skin is. Its a definite Christmas must have.
Golden Wonder (bath ballistic)
Again Golden Wonder is a bath bomb I can describe to you as I've had it before. Even when you pick it up you get golden fingers from the gold dust coating the bath bomb. It is a present shaped bath bomb (very relevant for Christmas) and if you shake it, something inside makes a sound, which I've yet to find out what it is, as my previous one didn't rattle but I believe is supposed to. After dropping your bath bomb into the water, you will soon see why it is called Golden Wonder. Your bath water becomes a vibrant turquoise and specs of golden shimmer surround you enveloping you in its scent.
Blackberry (bath ballistic)
This bath ballistic was not in the gift box, but thought I may as well add it in. Its a bath bomb I was going to give as a Christmas Gift but I forgot I had it until after Christmas (oops). It smells very good, a bit like Palmer Violets, which is a kind of sweet/candy, and is quite a soft scent but I do like it. Its one I've never had so I'm excited to see what its like.
I hope this post was somewhat interesting or useful and fun to read..
